We are looking for an experienced Sushi Cook who would like the opportunity to help us build a solid back-of-house team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acquaint yourself with our menu, specials and cuisine
- Learn and perfect your sushi techniques under the guidance of our skilled Chef teams
- Hone your knife techniques and skills
- Responsible for preparing and finishing foods in the sushi station.
- Meet quality standards, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the work areas and equipment
- Assist the Chef team as needed in execution of production.
- Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
- Must be able to breakdown work station and complete closing duties
- Maintain accurate inventories while informing management of restocking needs to prevent product shortages.
- Notifies chef on duty prior to end of shift if unable to complete assigned task(s) within allotted time.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of sushi experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale hotel/restaurant
- Passionate about learning and desires to advance their career
- Candidate must exhibit extensive sanitation and culinary knowledge and accurate knife skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Embraces feedback and wants to constantly improve
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
