Job Summary:
The Director Patient Care Services at Parentis Hospice is responsible for overseeing all aspects of patient care delivery and the supervision of clinical staff. This is a full-time role that requires a high level of leadership, organization, and collaboration skills. The Director Patient Care Services will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer and work closely with other members of the management team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to our patients.
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 per year, paid semimonthly. Parentis Health also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off
Responsibilities:
- Valid California RN License Required.
- Oversee all aspects of patient care delivery, including clinical assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Recruit, train, and supervise clinical staff, providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular patient care rounds and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate and monitor patient care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to promote patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze patient care data to identify areas for improvement and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the appropriate utilization of resources to maintain cost-effective patient care.
- Participate in budget planning and monitor expenditures related to patient care services.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and management, providing updates, and insights on patient care delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Current and active RN license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in patient care delivery with at least two years in a leadership or management role.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to healthcare and patient care.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in data analysis and utilization of electronic health records.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
