As a Heavy Duty Truck Territory Lease and Rental Sales Representative, your responsibilities will be to grow and develop the new Heavy Duty Truck lease and rental business within your assigned territory. Essential and Specific Responsibilities for this position are outlined below.
Territory Lease and Rental Sales Representative Essential Responsibilities:
- Generate new business, manage and penetrate existing accounts and grow customer base within assigned territory.
- Achieve or exceed annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals and objectives for your territory.
- Consistently improve sales effectiveness and efficiencies
- Work closely with Fixed Operations
- Teams and other departments/internal businesses within assigned territory to maximize sales volume/margin, net profit and customer satisfaction.
Territory Lease and Rental Sales Representative Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage sales effort/process within assigned territory to maximize customer touches and close deals
- Penetrate Target Customers in territory
- Penetrate Strategic Accounts in territory
- Travel within assigned territory prospecting, cold calling and setting-up and fulfilling customer appointments as well as preparing and presenting customer proposals.
- Complete daily/weekly sales call activity report
- Effectively manage on-going customer relations
- Manage Expenses to OP Plan for territory
- Complete all training material in a timely manner and with the highest degree of proficiency.
- Support the initiatives of other departments within territory
- Maximize Truck margins/profits within territory
- Identify and communicate opportunities to penetrate customers within territory.
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Handle inbound and outbound sales process including creating contracts, checking out and checking in trucks to ensure all damage is caught during physical inspection with customer.
- Generate new business leads and maintain existing customer relationships through phone and in person sales calls.
- Manage fleet of vehicles including maintenance and damage repairs.
- Schedule and coordinate customer reservations and track rental return dates to minimize equipment down time.
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability.
- Ability to obtain minimum of a Class B license within 6 months of employment.
- Assist in truck delivery and pick up.
Territory Lease and Rental Sales Representative Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience within the Trucking/Transportation Industry or a related industry
- Self-starter with the highest degree of energy, self-confidence and integrity and the ability to perform well with-out daily supervision
- Ability to successfully negotiate with customers at all management levels
- Ability to work under pressure both externally and internally across department lines, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Exceptional Customer Service Orientation
- Proven ability to exceed annual/quarterly/monthly sales goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Some travel is required
