Overview:
A Surgical Assistant responsibilities include assisting with surgeries in an operating room. They gather and organize all necessary tools needed to perform these procedures and monitor a patient's vital signs throughout surgery. They also provide assistance as required by surgical teams while passing instruments that have been sterilized. Ultimately, you will work with a team of medical staff to ensure each procedure is a success from start to finish.
Responsibilities
· Prepare the operating room for upcoming surgeries
· Chair side assisting
· Recover patients after sedation
· Stock and clean rooms
· Wash and sterilize instruments
· Test and clean autoclave
· Xray, panorex, cone bean CT taking
· Tracking and manage implants
· Manage inventory
· Assist with patient education
· Take inventory of supplies and maintain files and records of procedures
· Crash cart updates
· Assistance with anesthesia/sedation and nitrous-oxide
· Informing patients on pre-op and post-op instructions
· Reviewing patient health history
· Upholding a safe and clean working environment by complying with OSHA infection control policies, and helping the oral surgeons manage medical emergencies with CPR certification, emergency kit, oxygen and other emergency supplies.
Requirements
Dental or Surgical Experience and ability to multi-Task

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
