Rhoads Metal Works, Inc. is a fourth generation company founded in 1896 servicing the Delaware Valley Tri-State area for over 120 years. We are a custom fabrication shop working in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum . A large fully equipped and staffed shop, combined with our field crews, allow us to offer customers the highest quality and service.
We are currently looking to add to our workforce in a rapidly GROWING business. We are searching for an experienced Shop Fabricator / Welder. Rhoads Metal Work, Inc custom fabricates a large variety products, from railings, duct work, catwalks/crossovers, to stainless steel counter tops and sinks.

Responsibilities:
- Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, and/or clamps parts together along layout marks
- Lay out, positions, and tacks weld work pieces
- Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines
- Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch, turn regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame, holds & guides torch at proper angle to cut metal
- Follow instructions for projects and task with precision and independence
- Operate proper equipment safely and effectively
- Higher level problem solving in a fast environment
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic math; i.e. fractions, and decimals
- Ability to understands and carry out detailed but open ended written or oral instructions
- Ability to operate and setup a Press Brake, Shears and Saws
- Ability to operate a CNC plasma table a plus
- Ability to work independently on projects and tasks
- Ability to read blueprints and tape measure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing production environment
- Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, close vision, peripheral vision, & depth perception
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
Ability to polish stainless steel a plus
Normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Overtime is available depending on scheduling needs.
