Postdoctoral Research Fellows in Digital Media at Texas State University
Texas State University is hiring two (2) Postdoctoral Research Fellows with an interest in platforms (hardware and content), digital publics, and the impact of digital media on everyday life to join the Digital Media and Everyday Life Lab.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conduct research, contribute to journal articles and books, and assist with writing grant proposals.
The Digital Media and Everyday Life Lab is a research lab that explores how people use digital media platforms (e.g., social media, gaming, content streaming) through hardware platforms (e.g., mobile devices, gaming consoles, smart speaker assistants, virtual reality) in everyday life. The lab explores media appropriation, consumption, influence, and literacy, often working collaboratively with faculty and graduate students in the
School of Journalism and Mass Communication, across Texas State University, and with other institutions/labs.
- Position 1 Start Date: August 16, 2024 (12-month contract; salary: $55,000.00)
