Position Logistics

Full-time 37.5 hours; overtime and flex schedule as approved by supervisor

Routinely 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday
Position Overview
Admissions
-
Screens patient referrals for admission as necessary
-
Assists in completing intake process for new patients admitted to WM unit
-
Perform initial nursing admission assessments, including: nursing history and assessment; CIWA; COWS; nursing care plan; and MAR records.

Documents assessments and any other relevant information in electronic health record

Ensures timely and appropriate submission of documentation

Maintains WM unit roster and coordinates with admin about available and open beds
Clinical
-
Ensure appropriate medication regimen is provided to patients per protocol and/or provider’s orders

Assists in monitoring patient progress, addresses patient needs, and maintains documentation per established guidelines.

Functions as part of an interdisciplinary team of nurses, technicians, and counselors to provide support to patients admitted to WM unit
Marginal

Attends all required meetings and training sessions

Attend treatment team meetings and participate in staff supervision meetings

Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university; and one year of related experience and/or training are required.

State LPN licensure and CPR certificate are required

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hand and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
