Summary of Position: Reporting to the General Manager, the Kitchen Supervisor at Sandhill will provide leadership and perform essential duties at Flight Adventure Park (aka – Plex). The position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our camps and Guests. The Kitchen Supervisor will have a passion for culinary excellence.
Kitchen Supervisor Responsibilities (includes but are not limited to):
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, presentations, and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen – must be Serv-Safe Certified as a Manager.
- Develop and maintain standard recipes to ensure consistent quality.
- Supports Park management in managing the day-to-day operations, including personnel, Guest service, maintenance, etc.
- Cross-train and supervise staff that support kitchen operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Oversee food costing and budgeting to maximize profitability.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Handle any Guest comments or concerns related to food quality or service.
- Be present at the Park for After School Program operations.
- Supports the General Manager in managing the day-to-day operations, including personnel and financial management, Guest service, marketing activities, and maintenance.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a culinary role is required. Leadership skills and systems can be taught to the right candidate but culinary experience is a must.
- Proven track record of success in kitchen management or similar supervisor position.
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control.
- Be punctual and attentive each day of programs (time ranges from 1 to 6 for approximately 25 hours per week. In addition, may be asked to support operations of the Park for 10-15 hours.
- Go above and beyond in providing exceptional Guest service.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
