Aiken Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates, PA is actively seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team. We are a busy, well established private practice that has been serving the Aiken community since 1977 and we are seeking a team-player who is organized, has strong communication skills, is empathetic towards patients, has a good bedside manner and is able to handle the pressures of a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional patient care.
Position details:
- Full-time position
- Office Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00AM – 5:00PM and Friday 8:00AM – 12:00PM
- Provide Night/Weekend Call as required
- Provide weekend rounding support as required

Requirements:
- MSN Required and graduate of an accredited Nurse Midwife program
- Nurse-Midwife Certification
- Current SC License as a Certified Nurse Midwife
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Experience with first assist with C-sections
- Prescriptive authority as appropriate, per the medical staff privileging process
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of the practice
- Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid
Experience:
- Women’s Health: 2 years (preferred)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care according to established protocols and standards of care
- Management of intrapartum period for normal and high-risk mothers
- Provide on call and consultative Midwifery services. On call services include Labor and Delivery, care of the postpartum patient, and emergent women's health issues
- Provide recommended age appropriate preventative care services that include history taking, examinations, counseling, screenings, testing and other preventative services.
- Obtain appropriate histories, clinical examinations, diagnostic tests, and make appropriate referrals for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic disorders
- Conduct breast exams, gynecological disease and treatments, including prenatal care, colposcopy, placement of IUD’s and Nexplanons and general OB/GYN office procedures.
- Review laboratory test results, radiology reports and consultations reports in a timely manner and provide patient with information and treatment recommendations based on theses reports, consult with physician as needed for interpretation and follow up on these.
- Complete medical records within 48 hours of the patient visit with documentation in medical record being complete and appropriate for the services provided and satisfactory for billing for the visit.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
