Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. About the role:
Experience working in manufacturing facilities, highly preferred. Preference for candidates that have experience working in facilities with loading docks, operating dock levelers, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, air handling systems, motors, and exhaust fans.
Uses several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
What you’ll do:
- Follows all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
- Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks.
- Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
- Assists with solving and repairs of buildings and manufacturing facilities.
- Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
- Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them promptly
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance projects
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and document repairs
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed
- Conduct electrical repairs and installations
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in welding techniques
- Experience with electrical systems and repairs
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Leadership abilities to supervise maintenance staff

What you’ll need:

- 608 certification highly preferred
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
- Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
- Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
