Vascular Nurse Practitioner / Vascular Physician Assistant
What you will do:

The vascular surgery APP is responsible for the initial evaluation, formulating the appropriate diagnosis and managing the ongoing treatment plan of the vascular patient.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs comprehensive history and physical examinations and compiles patient medical data and assembles preliminary treatment plans.
- Orders diagnostic/laboratory tests as needed and collects, interprets, and documents test results for patients.
- Assists in the pre-operative and post-operative management of vascular surgery patients as needed, warranted
- Participates in treatment teams and develops and implements patient treatment care plans, records progress notes, and monitors therapeutic interventions.
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens.
- The successful applicant will be a member of an interdisciplinary team and will work collaboratively with our physicians in providing vascular surgery inpatient care.
- Complete comprehensive training under the supervision of clinic physicians
- See all patients for follow-up appointments after treatments, address patient questions and concerns, and investigate ongoing symptoms
- Complete accurate charting and documentation of each patient encounter
- Work with a physician under a collaborative agreement, which provides autonomy to see patients both when the physician is in or out of the office
- Perform minimally-invasive, cosmetic spider vein treatments using sclerotherapy and lasers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- NYS license
- ACLS & BLS required
- Current CPR
- NCCPA Certification or NP ANCC with a first assist certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two to five years of vascular surgery experience preferred
Work Days:
Full Time including some evening and weekend coverage
