Bookkeeping Account Manager

We're seeking a motivated and independent Bookkeeping & Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in providing exceptional service to our diverse clientele, ensuring their financial records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
This will be a part-time US-based position starting at 10 hours per week.
List of Job Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic reviews of financial transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and maintaining professional communication through email and video conferencing
- Assist in managing client expectations and ensure a high level of client satisfaction
- Oversee month-end, year-end closing procedures (including EOY tax package preparation), and 1099’s
- Monitor and verify that all bookkeeping activities adhere to relevant accounting standards
- Implement quality control measures to review financial records for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate daily with team members
- Supervise and support bookkeepers with weekly office hours

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Provide updates, address concerns, and gather feedback from clients
- Attend meetings with clients via Zoom and phone
- Analyze client financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and increased profitability
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to clients
- Identify inefficiencies in bookkeeping processes and propose and implement solutions
- Streamline workflows to optimize efficiency and accuracy in bookkeeping operations
- Keep detailed and organized records of client interactions, agreements, and project milestones

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- We use the heck out of tech, so you MUST embrace technology!
- Strong proficiency in using QBO accounting software & Microsoft Excel
Job Nice-to-Haves:
- Professional certification in bookkeeping or accounting
- Previous experience in training and mentoring junior bookkeepers
Equipment Needed:
- Reliable computer with consistent high-speed internet connection
- Access to necessary accounting software and tools (cloud-based softwares will be provided)
