Qualifications:
Required: Professional degree in Architecture
Required: Architecture Licensure in CA is required
Title 24 experience is a plus
Required: Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam
Required: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
10-12 years of wellness experience
Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures;
OSHPD experience a plus
Essential Skills and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a collaborative team of architects and designers through all project phases to deliver exceptional health and wellness architectural projects that meet or exceed client expectations and requirements.
Leverage your specialized experience and technical expertise in health & wellness design to successfully guide client projects from initial concept development through final construction and closeout.
Ability to graphically communicate an idea quickly, backed by strong technical capabilities regarding building construction and technologies.
Participate in the full design process from conceptual design through construction phase services as a manager of a project team
Lead in-house team with preparation of existing conditions via site surveys and full entitlements analyses, as well as applicable code and accessibility reviews
Manage preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction documents with project team, consultants, contractors, and vendors
Navigate hearings with building and zoning officials regarding project approvals (locally & regionally)
Oversee and coordinate seamless collaboration among clients, internal project teams, and external consultants across all disciplines, including structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil. Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained and properly coordinated.
Thoroughly review project requirements and designs to validate conformance with applicable state and local codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating all project manuals, specifications, and associated documentation as the project progresses.
Manage project finances including writing fee proposals and internal and external budgets
Manage and mentor internal project team of up to five people
Travel is required
The base salary will be estimated to be between $95,000 - $115,000 contingent on relevant experience plus profit sharing and benefits.
