Minimum Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, state and federal regulations, and implementation of the Act. Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to facilitate team initiatives. Experience conducting research, compiling information, and disseminating materials to other team members and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with professional and paraprofessional staff and a diverse group of customers and stakeholders. Experience providing training, consultation, and technical assistance to diverse stakeholders. Ability to drive to various sites throughout Virginia. An ability to manage diverse activities and projects. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Self-initiation with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid driver's license is required (or ability to provide your own transportation.) Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member of VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with provision of technical assistance in early intervention; experience with developing and reviewing budgets; experience working in Part C Early Intervention . A Bachelor’s degree in a human services or education field is preferred.
