Kent Engineering-Architectural Diagnostics (KE-ADL) is a dynamic and multi-layered engineering and architectural consulting firm based in Seattle, WA, with offices in Seattle and Honolulu. KE-ADL serve insurance companies, law firms, construction companies, commercial and multifamily properties, hotels and resorts, and government organizations. Within our core disciplines of architecture, as well as materials, mechanical, and structural engineering, KE-ADL specializes in forensic engineering and root cause analysis. The KE-ADL team is made up of 14 experts, 3 technicians, multiple affiliate experts, and 5 business management/administrative staff. We are a tight knit team unit that takes pride in tackling the tough cases and providing high quality results for our clients.
Since 1982 KE-ADL has focused its consulting efforts on helping clients with their repair and redesign and in some cases forensic analysis, where in recent years offerings to include more analysis/assessment and remediation services. Our objective is to provide our clients with an accurate and reliable root cause analysis, as well as effective remediation and maintenance solutions.
Kent Engineering has the internal capability to perform a wide range of tests, simulations, and investigative procedures at our Seattle laboratory and in the field.
Job Details
KE-ADL is looking for an Architect for their Honolulu office.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Architectural Consultant
- Conduct residential/commercial remediation-investigations.
- Investigate/assess damages due to catastrophes or normal environmental conditions (storm damage, hurricanes, floods, marine environment, )
- Research technical publications and literature in support of evaluations.
- Apply architectural principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards.
- Prepare Architectural reports stating cause and origin of damage to clients.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Write proposals.
- Write scopes of repair
- Communicate project updates and timelines to staff and clients.
- Travel locally and nationally on occasion.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- 10+ years of architectural experience
- Registered Architect license in Hawaii
- Experience with premises and walking surface investigations, including product defect.
- Ability to inspect homes, roofs and crawlspaces.
- Working knowledge of building structures and the construction process
- Experience writing technical reports.
- Project management experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
