Primary Tasks & Responsibilities:
Develop a team of Assemblers to complete the weekly Production Schedule. Enthusiastically utilize the diversity of the LINAK Values and the LINAK Leadership Values to develop Team Members to achieve the desired results for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People / Motivation. Motivate the team with a firm expectation for results. Utilize Lean and 6S principles to structure the expectations on the Production Floor. Work in collaboration with support teams to identify and reduce waste (defects, waiting, motion, inventory, overproduction, overprocessing, transportation).
- Daily Cell Leadership – Measured by Productivity and Efficiency
- Plan for cross training and designate daily work assignments.
- Train, coach, and, when necessary, escalate development / discipline needs to supervisor.
- Complete or delegate Work Order Administration
- Assist Production Supervisor in assessing Team Member performance, behavior, and attendance by performing weekly Team Member calibration process.
- Quality and Standardized Work Compliance – Measured by DPPM and IDPMU / FPY
- Develop trainers of Standardized Work, Line Clearance, TPMs, and job duties
- Perform Process Conformance Reviews and Training Competency Reviews
- Utilize Training Within Industry Standards to communicate internal process errors
- Maintain Training Program Logs
- Coordinate Supplier Quality problems with Quality when required
- Keep up with quality alerts and expiration dates as necessary
- Liaison administration errors (BOM, Specification, Drawings, etc.) to support team
- Safety, 6S, and Lean – Measured by Safety Incidents, 6S Score, and Lean Score
- Timely completion and Team Member understanding of Safety Training topics.
- Develop Team Member competence and enthusiasm regarding 6S.
- Develop Team Member competence in and promote the C4 system.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements:
The Production Team Leader is the front-line leader for production who is responsible and accountable for Safety, Quality, and Productivity. The Production Team Leader will work in support of and under the direction of the Production Supervisors and must be capable of performing in a responsible and efficient manner the techniques and tasks that are assigned.
- Manufacturing experience of 1-3 years is required, with a preference of 1-3 years manufacturing leadership.
- A High School Diploma is required, while an Associate’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent interaction and teamwork skills.
- The ability to problem solve and trouble shoot is necessary in this position.
- The Production Team Leader must demonstrate high levels of integrity when performing all standard procedures and job duties.
