Job Tasks
- Performs internal financial, incur costs, and risk management audits
- Assess current and future financial operations in order to improve efficiency
- Examines financial transactions to determine whether costs were incurred within the contractual Period of Performance (PoP) and prepare work papers that can be easily reviewed
- Examines records to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, agreements, and policies
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications/Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
- At least 2-4 years of experience in auditing
- Auditing, preferably with federal or state government grant programs
- Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Principles, AASHTO audit guide a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience; Proficiency with MS Office - Word, Outlook
- Strong analytical, team-oriented, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
