Front Desk - Guest Services Job Summary:
Assist guests with reservations, check-in, check-outs and overall customer service. This is a fun guest interactive job providing assistance with our unbelievable guests who appreciate great service and bright individuals to help them enjoy the best of the Hotel Bellwether and our regional attractions! Qualifications:
- Preferred: 1-year experience as Front Desk Agent or Prior Experience in a Hospitality role. PMS (OPERA) experience a big plus!
- High School Education
- Must be able to stand for several hours on end with numerous breaks.
- Upbeat and welcoming, guest-focused attitude!
- Experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of customer interaction and guest satisfaction while on shift.
- Works a consistent Front Desk schedule of 4 – 5 shifts per week.
- Maintain communication with Housekeeping; discuss procedures and staffing for busy dates; keep HSKP MGMT informed of groups and events. Coordinates priority early check-ins.
- Coordinate with Maintenance department to ensure work orders are entered and resolved.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of our rates, reservations, and associated standards. Oversees Front Desk execution of these, providing coaching and feedback.
•Maintain our Quality Assurance Standards
- Provide periodic reviews of policies and procedures. Keeps Front Desk’s S.O.P.’s and procedures up to date and updates according to FOM’s direction.
- Contributes to FD monthly meetings and provides input on staff performance to FOM.
- Daily communication with AM & PM FD shifts and Night Auditors, including pass-on, new changes in policies and procedures, VIPs, groups.
- Maintains inventory at FD, Gift Certificates, internal forms, and vouchers.
- Respond to guest billing concerns; submits shift reports to FOM and flags credits/refunds to GM/FOM/Accounting.
- Full knowledge of Opera PMS; troubleshooting and procedures.
- Full knowledge of Emergency Procedures and support troubleshooting phone numbers.
