What we are looking for:
We are looking for our next team member who wants to contribute to making a difference for students in Pinellas County. Our mission only happens when we have great talent working collaboratively. The Volunteer Outreach Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, scheduling, tracking, and retaining volunteers and mentors for a variety of Foundation and Pinellas County Schools initiatives. The Volunteer Outreach Coordinator will work collaboratively with the school district and community partners to recruit and retain volunteers.

Responsibilities:
- Present at community and school district events to recruit volunteers/mentors.
- Recruit potential volunteers/mentors per school district requirements.
- Communicate and work with Foundation and school district staff to identify and coordinate volunteer/mentor needs.
- Promptly processes volunteer inquiries and applications.
- Develop and coordinate volunteer recognition appreciation initiatives, including an annual in-person event.
- Track volunteer recruitment and placement milestones and deliverables as needed.
- Train volunteers/mentors for various programs.
- Create monthly mentor newsletter to support active mentors.
- Support the Senior Team with outcomes for impact reporting.
- Work across departments to support efforts around program finance, communications, and fundraising.
- Create surveys and other materials to support program effectiveness.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
- College degree preferred.
- Prior experience coordinating schedules, training, and working with volunteers.
- Must have dependable transportation and ability to travel to events.

Work Environment:
This position works out of our Largo office and in the field, driving to and from community events. This position will be considered for a hybrid remote work schedule upon completion of 90-day probationary period. Attending occasional night or weekend events will be required.

Pay: $22.60 - $24.04 per hour
