Connexus Hub is a professional services firm that works with Government Agencies and Fortune 500 customers. We are hiring for project manager to support the OCIO.
Job type: W2 + benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation, sick)
Location: Remote + travel to Atlanta GA (A minimum of 1 in-person meeting per quarter with a maximum of 3)
Duties:
- Identify projects, activities, and functions that would benefit from enhanced project management support.
- Implement project management tools to standardize the approach to projects both large and small.
- Develop and update dashboard(s) to monitor projects and identify project risks, especially those that impact enterprise risks.
- Assess project management training needs and develop training plans, training materials, and job aids to assist staff with adopting new tools and processes.
- Have demonstrated experience managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity in the federal space, using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Define a clear approach to successful project delivery and document development through a consistent and repeatable integration of practices and processes that comply with CDC/OCIO PMO standards, industry best practices and CDC and HHS policies.
- Develop and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through closeout including gathering requirements, developing Charters, Communication Plans, Risk Plans, and Project Plans.
- Use a collection of industry best practices, Federal standards/policies, and CDC/OCIO PMO established processes and tools, to track and manage project activities and deliverables.
- Develop and review work products for correctness in accordance with CDC/OCIO PMO and Industry best practices and standards.
- Review project deliverables, identify/track project risks and resolve project issues.
- Support to OCIO departments for multiple projects including meeting facilitation, creating meeting agendas and minutes, and action item tracking using CDC/OCIO PMO and Industry standards and best practices.
- Present executive style briefings to OCIO Senior Managers on project status throughout any identified project life cycle.
Requirements:
- 8+ years IT Project management experience working with federal agencies.
- Bachelor's Degree
- PMP
- Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
- Be flexible and able to quickly adapt to the dynamic and evolving operating environment.
- Fully understand quality expectations and be continuous improvement oriented.
- Be a team player and be willing to take ownership for the quality of services and work products.
- Be proficient in the use of the Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) software and other applications applicable to assigned support service area being worked in.
