The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the warehouse, including shipping, prepack, and receiving processes. This role ensures that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Shipping Operations:
· Coordinate and oversee the shipping process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
· Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing slips.
· Communicate with carriers and freight companies to schedule and track shipments.
2. Prepack Operations:
· Manage prepack activities to ensure products are packaged according to company standards.
· Oversee the preparation of kits and assemblies for shipment.
· Maintain inventory levels of prepack materials and supplies.
3. Receiving Operations:
· Supervise the receiving process to ensure accurate and efficient unloading, inspection, and documentation of incoming goods.
· Verify received items against purchase orders and packing lists.
· Coordinate with the purchasing department to resolve discrepancies.
4. Inventory Management:
· Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records.
· Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
· Ensure proper storage and organization of warehouse inventory.
5. Safety and Compliance:
· Enforce warehouse safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
· Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions for warehouse staff.
· Address and resolve any safety or compliance issues promptly.
6. Team Leadership:
· Supervise and train warehouse staff, including shipping, prepack, and receiving personnel.
· Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse employees.
· Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
7. Lift Truck Operations:
· Operate lift trucks to move, stack, and organize products within the warehouse.
· Ensure all lift truck operations are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies.
· Train and certify warehouse staff on proper lift truck operation and safety procedures.
· Perform routine maintenance checks on lift trucks to ensure they are in good working condition.
8. Continuous Improvement:
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on warehouse performance metrics.
· Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
· Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, prepack, and receiving.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
· Valid lift truck operator certification is preferred.
Work Environment:
The Warehouse Coordinator will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role may involve occasional overtime and the need to address urgent issues outside of regular working hours.
