We are looking to add flexible substitute teachers to our on-call list. This position will support infant/toddler/preschool classrooms as needed. No formal training is needed to apply. We will provide training as part of your orientation and on-boarding.
This is an on-call position where we will reach out to you as-needed to provide coverage when full-time teachers are out sick or on vacation. If you are interested in working with children, this is a great opportunity to gain experience, learn about early childhood education and transfer to full time positions. Also great for students/ teachers looking for part time work.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain appropriate teacher – child ratios, ensuring visual supervision of children at all times.
- Develop and maintain a safe, healthy, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment for all children and families.
- Understand and follow Wonder Years school policies and procedures to ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with licensing requirements.
- Support teachers to plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate curriculum for children based on children’s interests and needs, including daily open-ended activities to expand their competencies across developmental domains.
- Assist to set up the classroom and outdoor environment as needed.
- Conduct safety checks in the park/playground to ensure the equipment and area is safe for children, prior to the commencement of outdoor activity.
- Participate in food preparation for the center when needed.
- Assist with cleaning and clerical chores as needed.
- Collaborate with other teachers and School Director in providing a high quality early education program reflecting Wonder Years School philosophy.
Qualifications Required
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
- Fingerprints clearance through Department of Justice for Child Abuse Index Check and Criminal Record Statement.
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language.
- Preferred if you have ECE units or have recent teaching experience with children 0-6
