Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, NARS LSE Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst will support the execution of the forecast and annual budget processes as well as month-end close activities. This position will have exposure to and work with marketing, sales, and demand planning teams as well as accounting and region finance teams. This role’s main responsibility will be Ecommerce and FSS P&Ls; also will manage General & Administrative expenses. This position will receive clear guidance and direction from the Senior Manager and Executive Director of FP&A regarding execution of key responsibilities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage Ecommerce and Free Standing Store P&Ls including the monthly close and estimate processes
Support Senior Finance Manager for various monthly close activities to ensure that books are closed in a timely & accurate manner (Co-coordinating extensively with Accounting & Brand teams)
Oversee overall General and administrative expenses. Prepare and distribute monthly reporting to brand teams and proactively identify and minimize discrepancies/variances
Run month-to-date and year-to-date P&L reporting versus budget and prior year and support senior finance manager on variance analysis
Coordinate monthly commentary process with the brand and region teams. Ensure accurate and timely submissions
Prepare monthly Business Review package by utilizing existing reporting to be reviewed with senior management
Support Senior Finance Manager to consolidate wholesales channel forecast
Upload all expense budget submissions to SAP, confirming accuracy and consolidation at all levels
Partner with Executive Director of Finance and perform various operational analyses and review with business partners and senior management
Assist with financial modeling improvements in reporting, planning, and forecasting to enhance process efficiency, support new initiatives, and to accurately capture changing business environment and structure
Prepare various strategic, ad-hoc reports and analyses upon request while supporting the day to day efforts of the department
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of FP&A experience in consumer goods
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communications skills
Proven ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with software systems (SAP preferred)
