Everest Formulations is a turnkey dietary supplement manufacturing company. We are looking for experienced machine operators within the dietary manufacturing industry. The Machine Operator 1 at Everest Formulations is responsible for working with the production team in various aspects of the manufacturing process; including, but not limited to packaging of raw materials, such as powders, liquids, capsules, amino acids, vitamins, allergens, botanicals, etc.
Essential Job Duties
Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for hands-on operation of production equipment including but not limited to: HFFS, VFFS, Blister and Bottle Line, Videojet, Domino, and case packing equipment.
- Comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practices regulations (cGMP) and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while meeting deadlines
- Participate in continuous improvement activities that improve the workstations / centers performance.
- Operates machines to ensure proper functioning and releases to and instructs operator in procedures for producing parts in conformance with specifications.
- Diagnosing machine and equipment failures, making basic repairs/adjustments as needed.
- Perceive the production line ahead of you to anticipate errors and adjust as needed to prevent slowing down more than necessary.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities that improve workstations /centers performance.
- Work in a team environment and cross-train with others
- Must have the ability to read, follow detailed work order instructions and complete required documents.
- Set up and operate inkjet date and lot coding equipment.
- Set up and operate equipment, if needed, adjust settings during operation
- Control and adjust film tension and alignment.
- Complete paperwork and other minor administrative tasks at the beginning and end of your shift, carefully ensuring all information is accurate.
- Perform in-process checks until the batch is completed, verify fill weight and product matches finished good specs, etc.
- Calculate and record total theoretical finished goods yield and actual yield.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment and promptly report any concerns or irregularities to management.
- Clean and sanitize equipment/parts prior to and/or after use; disassembling and reassembling as needed.
- Sweep/wash floors and work areas to maintain equipment and work area in a sanitary condition.
- Move cases to designated areas within production and warehouse, as needed, using manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Work with Quality Department to perform quality checks daily.
- Report Out Of Specification (OSS) when product is not meeting documented standards to Supervisor/Lead and/or QC
- Perform other duties as needed.

- Ability to proficiently read, write and communicate in the English language (Spanish is a plus)

Selection Guidelines
The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate
- A minimum of 2 years of machine operating experience in a Dietary manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience operating a manual or electric pallet jack.
