An Inpatient Therapist will be a team member of Swift River’s clinical department located in the hills of Cummington, MA (30 mins from Northampton, MA). The candidate will guide patients through the recovery process while offering support, education and individual therapy in the early process of substance use disorder treatment. Education • Required: master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, psychology, or another related field in behavioral health
Experience • 1-2 years of experience working in a higher level of psychiatric care or substance use disorder facility required • Experience completing bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, clinical therapy notes and knowledge of continuing care management. Experience working with those experiencing a behavioral health crisis or under the influence of substances.
- Strong customer service background • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Detail oriented • Experience working with an electronic health record • Experience using Excel • Outlook 365, Familiar with DTX/RTC/PHP/IOP/OP Levels of Care Responsibilities • Greet patients and their loved ones • Complete intake assessments, screening tools and other evidence-based assessments • Follow company Standards of Care to ensure proper care and documentation • Develop initial treatment and discharge summaries. Ability to conduct individual and family sessions as necessary. Ability to conduct psychoeducational groups required in a substance use disorder program.
Job Type: Full-time 40 hours per week M-F Salary: $22.00 - $34.00 per hour based on experience – CPR/First Aid certified (can offer onsite certification), crisis intervention certified (can offer onsite training)
