Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Catering Manager to join our team. Since 2008 Apple Spice Junction has been providing high quality Box Lunch and Catering to our nearby Business, Medical Facilities and Schools. Typically we are Monday through Friday mirroring "Corporate Hours" but have occasional weekend orders from our Customers. This position is an ideal fit for those looking to have nights and most weekends off while still working in the Restaurant Industry. Pay will be negotiable and based on experience and qualifications for the position.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering, including food preparation, service, and customer satisfaction. This position requires a background in the food service industry and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
Duties
- Manage all catering orders and deliveries to our Corporate and Private Customers
- Coordinate with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences
- Develop and execute catering menus that meet customer expectations and are profitable for the business
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all catering orders are fulfilled on time and to the correct specifications
- Manage inventory and supplies for catering events
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation regulations are followed
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Utilize our POS to manage catering orders
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Supervise and train catering staff to ensure that they provide excellent customer service and adhere to the company's standards
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to increase repeat business
- Manage the catering budget and ensure that costs are kept to a minimum
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all customers leave with a positive impression of the business
Experience
- Experience in a catering or food service management role preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and service
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area
- Experience with food production and kitchen operations
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
- Knowledge of catering and food service industry trends and best practices
- Certification in food safety and sanitation is an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
