We are looking for a Lead Building Engineer to assist the Chief Engineer in directing the mobile engineers with the operations and maintenance of all assigned buildings; provides direct support to field operations, performance metric tracking and reporting, and implements strategic material acquisition strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Supports preparation of monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reports, and prepares technical evaluations/deficiencies reports on existing mechanical systems and components
- Maintains staffing schedules and employment records for responsible areas in connection with planning, scheduling and execution of engineering/maintenance work
- Plans schedule of work in accordance with established priorities
- Furnishes the engineers with basic data required in effecting overall and long-range planning
- Responds effectively to all emergencies
- Maintains and operate HVAC equipment and all associated equipment
- Coordinates purchasing and inventory control procedures
- Attends periodic management/executive training seminars
- Assists in Preventive Maintenance Program and all HVAC Building Automation Systems
- Assists in the organization of the engineering department
- Maintains liaison with Engineering Manager regarding work orders, job completion dates and priorities and estimates
- Furnishes the Engineering Manager with information relative to criticality of buildings
- Makes recommendations for systems improvement through immediate supervisor or management
- Makes recommendations concerning Capital Projects
- Handles other duties as assigned
Desired Competency, Experience and Skills:
- Valid Applicable State Drivers License
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years training and experience in electrical, HVAC and refrigeration system operation, design application and maintenance
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in technical operations supervision
- Must possess an excellent working knowledge of computer based applications, to include Excel and Word
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
