Job Summary:
Our fast-growing, technologically-driven manufacturing firm is seeking a Production Scheduler. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to formulate, plan and direct production schedules within our plant network. The person will have the ability to determine and maintain a production schedule that efficiently utilizes all available resources to meet customer demand while also maintaining optimal inventory levels. Therefore, she or he must demonstrate effective communication skills, high knowledge in manufacturing processes, attention-to-detail, and the ability to anticipate and resolve capacity and material issues to enhance plant performance and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as key bridge function between order processing (sales team) and production team
- Analyze product and machinery specifications, capacity data, and perform mathematical calculations to determine required production processes, tools, and human resources
- Develop and maintain production schedule to establish sequence and lead time for different products made at multiple extrusion lines at two locations – New York & Georgia
- Update production schedule to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts and customer orders
- Communicate with managers and personnel about schedule problems and resolve issues that affect planned priorities
- Initiate immediate action to account for scheduled down-time, shut-downs, and unscheduled interruptions for multiple extrusion lines
- Schedule and oversee inbound and outbound shipments by communicating with multiple logistics carriers
- Manage raw material & packaging inventory by conducting weekly inventory counts and cross-checking records for accuracy
- Identify, order, and ensure materials and supplies are available for production demand
- Keep records of items shipped, received, or transferred to other locations
- Formulate ideas and meet expectations for daily, weekly, and monthly production call goals
Experience:
- Proven experience in supply chain management and MRP systems
- Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and logistics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
Skillset:
- Exercise excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Work with multiple computer platforms and applications simultaneously, including but not limited to Windows, iOS, document management software, ERP software's, word-processing, spreadsheets, etc.
- Knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to learn the process and understand production output and run-time requirements
- Fulfill physical requirements including walking, standing, stooping and climbing Flexibility to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary

Qualifications:
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or work experience commensurate with education
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing production scheduling experience
- Preferred plastics manufacturing experience
