Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of nursing operations within our organization. This is a leadership role that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Duties:
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and evaluate nursing staff performance to ensure adherence to standards of care
- Oversee the management of patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage budgetary responsibilities related to nursing operations
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in nursing practices and technologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Current state nursing license
- Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or in a similar leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Experience in various healthcare settings such as assisted living, home health, acute care, hospice care, and nursing homes
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, including Medicare regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
