We have an opening for Research Technician in RNA research and functional genomics. This position is available immediately.
The researcher will study RNA expression regulation, especially focusing on dysregulated genes in cancer development and progression. We are particularly interested in combining bioinformatics, high-throughput multi-omics approaches such as RNA-seq, CRISPR screening, single cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, as well as standard molecular biology techniques to characterize gene expression regulation at the molecular and cellular levels. Moreover, our lab is also interested in using RNA expression profiles as molecular biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis. More information about the lab can be found at: https://chicago.medicine.uic.edu/wanglab/.
This position requires a B.S or M.S. in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics or related fields. The candidates should have prior experience in molecular and cell biology. Experience in genomics or bioinformatics is also a plus.
Interested candidates should send resume to Dr. Xiaowei Wang, Dept. of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine, University of Illinois at Chicago.
