The Case Manager will be an integral part of the StarWorks program team. The Case Manager will assist individuals with disabilities in searching for and obtaining competitive employment. The Case Manager will also manage and develop relationships with community employers. Responsibilities include vocational guidance, job development, job placement, employer education, job coaching and employer relations. The Case Manager will assist individuals with all job development areas; resume writing, interview skills, travel and job etiquette. The Case Manager will incorporate WOW! Principles into all aspects of work and presentation.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree/ or HS Degree (HiSET/GED) plus applicable experience as decided by the Program Coordinator.
EXPERIENCE:
Individuals with human services, job coaching, and career counseling experience strongly encouraged to apply.
REQUIREMENTS

Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essentials.

Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.

Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices, and community organizations.

ASL fluency, both expressive and receptive, is required. Deaf Cultural Competency is required. Bi-lingual employees preferred as well.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Works with Program Coordinator to obtain referrals from MRC.
- Participate in various groups/committees, either internally or outside the agency as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
- Maintain a regular caseload ensuring all MRC and internal documentation is complete in a timely manner such as monthly progress notes, intakes and case files.
- Request and coordinate Sign Language Interpreters as needed, providing meeting specific information.
- Communicate with MRC Counselors regularly to ensure quality of service.
- Delivers CIES service components as identified by the MRC Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) targeting job development and placement employment support services, assessments, and career identification.
- Provides accurate and timely documentation for individuals served utilizing MRC forms and standards.

Collaborates and supports Pre-Ets Case Managers and Pre-Ets programming as needed.
- Meets regularly with Program Coordinator for continued growth.

Is knowledgeable of and demonstrates in all duties the policies of American Training, Inc. in the areas of Human Rights and confidentiality.
