Character of Position
As a Weld Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling the structural components that make up a tool.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing
- Construct structural components from raw materials
- Use welding equipment to fuse structural components
- Inspect fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size
- Utilizing shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components as needed
- Ability to saw, miter, and fit fabrications (fit and tack)
- Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed
- Certified in TIG and MIG welding
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
- Other duties as assigned

- Must be good at math (algebra/geometry)
- Must be able to read a tape measure (Actually read one in depth)
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints
Experience
- Proven experience working as a fitter
- Minimum of 2 years' experience
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 56 per week
