Job Overview:
Under the Direct Supervision of the Executive Director of Facilities, the Facilities Manager is responsible for collaboration with the Buildings & Grounds teams and manages specific site staff teams to include but not limited to Building Life Safety Systems, Facilities Infrastructure, Preventive Maintenance, Shutdowns and Construction Projects Management of up to $1MM plus projects at assigned locations. Together with the Facilities Leadership Team, the Facilities Manager will be assigned staff and demonstrate leadership to the entire structure providing guidance and direction, providing safe, clean and well-maintained buildings and grounds.
- Must reside on-site. Housing will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain building sites in accordance with all relevant building and safety regulations; CAL-OSHA Compliance
- Manage facility expenses and budget lines by maximizing savings through strategic negotiations and requests for proposals in accordance with proposal requisition procedures and practices.
- Ensure projects and reporting are prioritized, monitored and completed timely within deadlines.
- Develop and implement a facilities database system for organization, tracking and communications, ensuring communication of maintenance and repair updates. (i.e. Facility Dude - keeping the operations of the department transparent to all involved.)
- Ensure a safe work environment by maintaining the safety and cleanliness of all facilities always.
- Manage and schedule daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance activities which include cleaning and repair inspections, as well as certification review and renewals.
- Manage relationships and serve as liaison between architects and general contractors during new facilities construction, post-construction activities and renovation projects.
- Develop, implement and maintain purchasing.
- Relationship Management and Property Procurement- Build and maintain relationships/ partnerships with corporate entities and community organizations for the purposes of acquiring donations/property.
- Manage annual calendar for facility shutdowns as needed (in partnership with program directors/managers) and implement said shutdowns for overall cleaning and upgrades to facilities.
- Develop, implement and manage an annual safety/risk management training calendar ensuring staff are trained annually in accordance with Risk Management and Human Resources policies.
- Complete all mandatory ADP LMS safety training and Y-USA e-Learning before the first shift in the facility.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years in facilities and/or buildings and grounds mechanical maintenance. Ability to coordinate and supervise independent contractors outside service contractors.
- Project management/planning experience to include cost estimating, budgeting, RFP negotiation/contracts and scheduling.
- Excellent knowledge base of facilities infrastructure and structural.
- Working knowledge with building and grounds life safety systems and mechanical systems; electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry and other related areas.
- Experience working with downed trees, camp facilities compliance work and vehicle/machinery maintenance oversight.
- Knowledge of an Environmental Health and Safety Program, CAL-OSHA safety standards and regulations and HVAC preventive maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of employee safety and disaster preparedness training requirements and delivery in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Understanding of SDS statements, usage of HAZMAT products and ability to train other staff or volunteers in safe use of potential hazardous or non-hazardous materials
- Know how to use various types of hand and power tools to perform mechanical repairs and services
- Ability to make various major and minor maintenance repairs
- Familiarity with kitchen and health facility equipment is a plus
- Computer proficiency to include Office 365
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal, relationship building and leadership skills
- Must haveValid driver’s license and clean driving record
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification must be maintained & can be updated within the first 12 months.
- YSF approved First Aid and CPR Certifications

Pay: $66,761.00 - $77,821.00 per year
