What you will be doing
We are seeking a certified medical assistant or licensed practical nurse to work with and assist Dr. Brian Adams, Board Certified in Anesthesia & lnterventional Pain Management of the Spine. The practice main location is located in Bloomington, Indiana, with some travel to our Columbus and Greenwood locations.
- Assists physician with the patient visits
- Answers patient care questions by phone and in person. Phone pharmacies to authorize prescriptions and return patients phone calls with the physician's recommendations for their care. Records and tracks all referrals.
- Document all interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed or prescribes by physician in electronic medical record.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physicians' advice and instructions.
- Coordinate patient care by triaging patient phone calls regarding urgency of appointments, scheduling surgeries with support staff.

- Experience with spine/ortho highly desirable
