AV rated mid-size law firm in Irvine area seeks a part time litigation secretary with 4+ years of experience for its business, real estate and corporate law group. The preferred work schedule is Monday - Friday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate must possess the following qualities:
- Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of experience supporting litigation attorneys at a law firm.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent grammar, punctuation, proofreading and spelling skills are integral.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment.
- Manage multiple attorney calendars including scheduling court appearances, deadlines, meetings, etc.
- Edit and finalize legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas and discovery.
- E-file documents in state and federal courts under strict deadlines, ensuring filings are in compliance with court rules.
- Familiarity with state and federal rules of civil procedure.
- Assist multiple attorneys.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Outlook.
Compensation offered to candidate will be dependent on many factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
