Job description
Responsibilities:
· Under the supervision of a senior designer or engineer, is able to design and layout routine electrical lighting, power, fire alarm, and telecommunications portions of a project using AutoCAD MEP, Revit, or other means.
· Take conceptual rough plan mark-ups and create final design documents, under the supervision of a senior designer or engineer.
· Perform calculations and utilize various Microsoft and Third-Party software packages related to various portions of the design package as directed by more senior staff members.
· Performs equipment takeoffs for calculation and cost-estimating purposes.
· Assist in the preparation of studies, performing field surveys, documenting existing conditions, and/or recommending various design solutions.
· May obtain field data by conducting field visits to project sites both in state and out of state. Documents existing conditions.
· May require overnight travel.
· Performs CAD/Revit functions proficiently in discipline and will use AutoCAD MEP and Revit software to transfer design concepts to a format acceptable to the client.
· Attends in-house seminars and pursues educational opportunities both in and outside of the office.
· Participates in technical and professional societies.
Qualifications
· 0-2 years of demonstrated electrical design experience.
· Possess a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related degree such as an associate degree or trade school certification in electrical engineering, drafting, or electrical design.
· Must be proficient with AutoCAD MEP and Revit software.
· Must have a thorough understanding of the principles of electrical design.
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be proficient in the operation of a computer and with the use of Microsoft Office Suite software.
· Proficiency with the use of design software common in our industry is highly valued.
· Must be able to commit to a hybrid work schedule with at least 3 days in the office.
· Must be able to travel to job sites as needed or required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour

Education:
Experience:
- Electrical design: 2 years (Preferred)
- AutoCAD: 2 years (Preferred)
- Microsoft Office Suite.: 2 years (Preferred)
