THE OPPORTUNITY
The Manager of National Donor Engagement is responsible for managing a donor portfolio of up to 150 donors and prospects throughout the nation with a focus on mid-level donors and those that give or have the potential to give $5,000 or more annually. She/he/they works closely with the Senior Director of National Donor Engagement to develop cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation and moves management plans also for major donors and prospects. The Manager of National Donor Engagement reports directly to the Senior Director of National Donor Engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager of National Donor Engagement shares our passion for saving the lives of veterans and will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:
- Plan, evaluate, coordinate, and direct, in conjunction with the Senior Director of National Donor Engagement, a mid-level and major gift program that seeks to maximize philanthropic resources through best practices of cultivation, stewardship and solicitation, and close
- Manages a prospect pool of individual donors in order to generate philanthropic revenue in support of SSS’s mission
- With direction from SSS’s leadership, supports the SSS’s growth of leadership and major gift growth with 1:1 outreach to educate and inspire potential prospects, renewed donors, and lapsed donors to serve as advocates, donors, or volunteers
- Drafts and provides timely information including meeting agendas, fundraising updates & reports, event sponsorship proposals, and other materials, as requested, to support fundraising requests and volunteer management
- Research potential new prospects and follow up with new donors solicited through events and or other avenues
- Conduct 15+ revenue driving meetings monthly
- Track all contacts and activity in Salesforce
- Develops own depth of mission knowledge and insight needed to effectively communicate with donors

QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for individuals who are committed to the mission, vision, and values of Stop Soldier Suicide. In addition, the Manager of National Donor Engagement should possess the following key attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service, operations, or administrative role
- Prior non-profit experience highly preferred
- Strong customer-facing experience with exceptional relationship and trust-building skills
- Highly organized and process-driven, with a strong attention to detail
- Tech savvy and comfortable with using multiple software applications to troubleshoot, track progress, and provide reports. Specific experience in Salesforce, Facebook, and project management software (Monday.com, Asana, etc) is highly preferred
- A strong goal-oriented and metrics-driven work approach
- Demonstrated ability to apply logical thought processing to problem solve and recommend solutions
- Agile with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Military background/experience/connection preferred
OBJECTIVES AND KEY RESULTS (OKRs)
This individual is responsible for meeting the following Objectives and Key Results:
- Expand pipeline to 4X-10X of revenue goal by 2025
- Elevate current pipeline donors by 20% growth YoY (renewing and upgrading)
- Expand lead generation opportunities utilizing Instrumental, DonorSearch, and other tools as available
SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a full-time, exempt position. The salary for this position is $70,000/yr.
