The Switchboard Hospital Operators and Answering Service Operators play a crucial role in managing hospital communications and providing outstanding customer service. This position is responsible for efficiently handling incoming and outgoing calls, directing calls to appropriate departments, and assisting with emergency communications.

Sunday-Thursday 5pm-11pm-ONSITE
**Can park for free in our attached parking garage after training when you are on 2nd shift**
**Must be flexible to train during the day M-F**
Key Responsibilities:
- Switchboard Hospital Operator:
- Manage and operate the hospital switchboard, answering and routing incoming calls promptly and accurately.
- Handle emergency calls and activate emergency response systems as required.
- Provide information to callers and assist in connecting them to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Maintain and update an internal directory of hospital departments, staff, and services.
- Monitor and operate paging systems and public address systems for internal communications.
- Document and report any technical issues with the switchboard equipment.
- Assist with general administrative duties as needed.
- Answering Service Operator:
- Answer and manage calls for medical practices, ensuring professional and courteous interactions.
- Take accurate messages and relay them to the appropriate parties promptly.
- Provide after-hours answering service support for physicians and medical staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Record and maintain detailed logs of all calls and messages handled during the shift.
- Support special communication projects as assigned by management.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
