JOB DESCRIPTION:
Project Controls Cost Engineers/Analysts will work within the Project Controls group to analyze and report on cost and schedule actuals performance related to budgets and forecasts. This role will assist key stakeholders and category budget owners for planning, execution and reporting purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems and procedures specific to the project as well as corporate guidance and programs.
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates, including cost breakdowns and work breakdown structures (WBS), for all project execution phases (planning, design, construction, decommissioning).
- Monitor and track project costs, identifying and analyzing variances from budget.
- Prepare and present cost reports to project management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and recovery strategies.
- Analyze and report actuals to budget through Earned Value practices (Schedule Performance Indicator, Cost Performance Indicator).
- Assist in the development of forecast for future spend through Earned Value practices (Estimate At Complete, Estimate To Complete).
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and management of project budgets.
- Perform risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential cost overruns and/or schedule misses.
- Assist in the development of Project Change Notices (PCN) to obtain budget movements.
- Other cost reporting and analysis duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of 5 years project control, field accounting, or cost analysis experience in the Construction, Decommissioning and/or Nuclear Industry
- Resource & cost estimating experience
- Oracle P6 working knowledge proficiency
- Earned Value Management Fluency
- Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively
- Conflict resolution, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Cost control and budgeting skills
- Teamwork and motivational skills
- Organizational and multitasking skills
- PMP Certification is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
