THE JOB
As a Fountain Worker, you will be responsible for setting the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
STARTING PAY RATE: $14.33 plus tips
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- You will either work a shift at Starbucks or work the counter at Market Cafe

Take and place order, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable

Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures

Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests

Pack and complete order as per guests' preference with any necessary condiments

Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures

Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment

Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders to designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish products as needed in work station, counters, tables, etc.

Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STANDOUT
-
Experience working in a coffee shop
-
One (1) year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast paced restaurant
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
-
Knowledge of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment

Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators and coolers, slicers and beverage machines

Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations

Basic computer skills and experience with varied Point of Sale (POS) systems

Able to handle multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks

Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
