Duties:
- Assist the Kitchen Manager with product ordering, scheduling, payroll, and achieving Food, Expense & Labor targets
- Inspect vendor deliveries to confirm accuracy, sign and file delivery invoices
- Supervise BOH staff, oversee proper communication between all staff on the shift
- Uphold a fun, positive, and efficient environment for staff and our guests
- Learn and understand how to properly use budgeting tools in google sheets to achieve restaurant goals
- Support training for new hires
- Monitor compliance with safety and be a leader for food quality and safety
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary requirements
- Assist with meal planning and menu development
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with catering events as required
Skills:
- Experience as a lead line cook or manager or similar role in the Hospitality industry
- Experience with inventory software
- Strong math and reporting skills
- Ability to learn, understand and follow budgeting tools through Google Sheets, and Connecteam
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills
- Availability to work through our operating hours (including weekends, holidays, etc)
- Great communication and team management abilities
- Ability to monitor staff, ensure company policies and standards are upheld
