Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC and manual machines to produce precision parts. This position is multifaceted. While it is primarily a machining position, it will also involve repairs to existing equipment, support help, deliveries and related shop duties.
A pre-employment drug screen is required.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform machining operations, using CAM programming software
- Set up and operate manual milling machines and lathes to perform one-off parts and repair operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
- Select the appropriate tools, materials, and cutting speeds for each job
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and accuracy
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges
- Troubleshoot issues with machines or programs and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate both CNC and manual lathes and mills
- Strong knowledge of CAD software for programming CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges
- Basic math skills for calculations and measurements
- Experience with fabricating parts using milling machines is preferred
- Familiarity with Haas/Fanuc controls is a plus
- Must be a team player who can work in a team atmosphere
