Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Records Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ordering and reviewing medical records, providing client case updates, and answering incoming calls. This role is crucial in ensuring our clients receive the best possible care and representation.
Responsibilities:
- Order and obtain medical records from various healthcare providers.
- Review and analyze medical records to verify a qualifying diagnosis.
- Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their case.
- Answer incoming calls and provide excellent customer service to clients.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with legal team members to support case preparation and management.
- Utilize technology effectively to manage and track case information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a legal or medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with case management software.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology is a plus.
- Preferred experience with Salesforce or other CRM software.
- Comfortable with technology and able to learn new software quickly.
