Men’s Senior Chaplain/ Program Counselor
Full-time/Part Time/Flexible Hours
Position Overview: This role requires a follower of Jesus with a heart of compassion and a desire to use your gifts to serve as Men’s Senior Chaplain/Program Counselor. This leadership role will require you to be willing to make connections with the local Church and build relationships to partner with our ministry of mercy. This position will also require you to evangelize and disciple men in their new or existing relationship with Jesus Christ. Be responsible for all Residential Center chapel services as well as assisting the Women’s Residential Center Chaplain in her duties of scheduling chapel services and the maintenance of the Women’s Residential Center chaplaincy. Counsel Renewal Program students and document case notes in Mission Tracker and assist the Program Coordinator with accountability and support teaching. Oversee the Men’s Residential Center Chaplain Assistant with his assessment of new men and evangelizing efforts.

Supervises: Men’s Residential Center Chaplain Assistant and the Women’s Residential Center Chaplain
Qualifications / Experience
· Must demonstrate a vibrant, growing, and personal, love relationship with Jesus.
· Must have a passion to communicate the truths of scripture and the Gospel of Jesus
· Must be a self-starter and able to work unsupervised
· Must be equipped to evangelize and disciple men on a daily basis
· Must have the ability and desire to lead mid-day Chapel services
· Must agree with Pathway Ministries Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision and Values and meet Employment Guidelines.
· Must be continually growing in the knowledge and understanding of Scripture with an ability to apply Biblical principles to real life situations.
· Must be a Micah 6:8 person concerned about other’s needs, at all levels of interaction as a fellow servant.
· Exhibit the ability to motivate our students and to provide grace and truth with consistent structure within the Renewal Program guidelines.
· Must have a heart for all who God sends us and demonstrate a desire and demonstration to treat students with dignity and respect.
· Basic computer skills and experience with data entry and be willing to learn and use Mission Tracker database.
· Degree in Applied Ministry and or Counselling preferred and/or 5-10 years’ experience in Men’s Ministry Leadership.
Expectations:
· Meet established goals and develop new initiatives for Chapel Services while maintaining clear and open communication with the Program Coordinator and Director of Residential Ministries concerning all aspects of the program, students and volunteers
· Preach chapel service message when need arises and facilitate, schedule, and maintain the “Hearing from God” through the Public Reading of Scripture on Mon, Wed and Fridays
· Be responsible for all Chapel Services and assist and direct the Women’s Residential Center Chaplain
· Develop, Maintain, Supervise, Coordinate and Grow the “Share Chapel” services
· Generate and maintain necessary records, files and reports within the Mission Tracker Data Base system, write clear and concise case notes immediately after meeting with guests and students
· Participate in the spiritual growth and Biblical instruction of those who God entrusts to our care. This can include (but not limited to) personal mentoring, the sharing of Scripture and Biblical encouragement as well as praying with program participants. This may be in a structured setting, such as leading Chapel as required or unstructured with individual guests as needed
· Hold students accountable to the ministry guidelines and program requirements as developed and implemented by the Long-Term Renewal team and the Residential Ministry team
· Attend staff meetings and training opportunities as assigned
· Work with Ministry Leadership to develop and facilitate effective chapel structure
Role duties / Responsibilities
· Build relationships with the men in the dayroom, receiving area and chapel
· Supervise/facilitate “The World We All Want” Gospel Intro Program and facilitate for students entering the Long-Term Renewal programs
· Supervise/facilitate and ensure that the Gospel Presentation video is being viewed by new guests on a daily basis; training staff and volunteers to facilitate
· Schedule chapel services and facilitate Share Chapel services on a monthly basis
· Teach Renewal Program classes as per teaching schedule at all Pathway facilities
· Meet with Renewal Program men for one-on-one meetings, holding them accountable for homework and completion of approved curriculum assigned
· Counselling, teaching and instruction of students will be accomplished by using approved curriculum and teaching materials as well as agreeing to Pathway’s Counseling philosophy
· Engage students and guests in daily living skills
· Supervise and assign tasks to the afternoon Chaplain Assistant
· Perform duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator with the onboarding process for students entering the renewal program
· Teach long-term renewal program classes and Life Skills classes as needed and facilitate roundtable discussions with program men and women
· Logistics –help support renewal staff in transportation needs
· Write case notes on students after personal and professional meetings and enter into Mission Tracker software system immediately after said meeting
· Follow and communicate daily events/schedules of all program men with daily reports on Mission Tracker
· Collect required monthly statistics, record and report to Director of Residential Ministries
· Maintain open and vibrant working relationship with the Transitional Coordinator and assist in building and maintaining a men’s Mentorship program
· Able to communicate the Mission, Vision and Values of Pathway Ministries and ability to inform the public about all of Pathways Residential programming
· Continually work with Residential and Renewal team to implement new ways to glorify God through programming and graduations
· Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly care team meetings
· Having a willing and humble heart to assume any and all immediate and fluid tasks as they arise

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
