Job Description Summary:
Assist manufacturing engineers or automation engineers. Plan, test, and custom make parts, and assist in implementing improvements in production and output. May assess prototypes, analyze performance of machinery, or try new methods of plant production. Assist in the detailing and release of CAD designs from the Engineering Team, as well as coordinate and design fixturing for secondary processing or manufacturing.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Authorities:
- Detail and release CAD Designs
- Coordinate with other departments to design and implement fixtures for ease of manufacturing
- Sustain and organize Automation Engineering equipment and material necessary to facilitate projects
- Assemble and/or install new equipment
- Suggest revisions to methods of operation, material handling, or equipment layout
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas
- Confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
- Help plan work assignments, taking into account workers’ performance, the capabilities of machines, and production schedules
- Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, how materials are handled, and how machines are used
- Collect data to assist in process improvement activities
- Any other duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills, abilities, other:
- Associate’s degree or post-secondary certification in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
- Solidworks Software skills, 5+ years min.
- CAD document management skills.
- Can properly apply GD&T to drawings.
- Basic programming skills, such as G-Code, any Robotic Welder, PLC.
- Basic electrical and electronic skills.
- Troubleshoot new & existing electromechanical machines.
- Good communication skills.
- Good critical-thinking skills.
- Can Solve Trigonometry problem with a calculator.
- Good observational skills.
- Detail-oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
