Under general supervision, performs work of maintaining websites for schools. Provides support to schools in the development and enhancement of school website content. Requires some experience with website content management technologies: HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), as well as professional site development and design tools such as Adobe Photoshop. Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills are a must. Expected to be a strategic thinker with a meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Maintains school websites; updates content, writes/adds content and creates new web pages.
Proactively works with and assists schools in updating school websites in a timely manner to reflect current school information.
Identifies school website content opportunities and works with schools to establish continual planning for school website updates.
Creates and maintains a database of all school-based requests for web site changes.
Assists departments and schools with a parent communication platform.
Takes photographs and/or videos as needed.
Assists with CCPS intranet.
Meets all associated work deadlines.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Department Director.

Considerable knowledge of website content management platforms, web technology and web development tools such as HTML, CSS and Adobe Photoshop and of usability and industry best practices for websites. Demonstrated understanding of layout of content, the complexity of the text and readability. Demonstrated ability in organizing and completing multiple tasks in a timely manner; in communicating; both orally and in writing and establishing effective working relationships.
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred or equivalent training or experience sufficient to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
