| This position reports to the OCL manager and works as a Neighborhood Liaison team member. The position will work closely with other OCL Liaisons and collaborate with APD Police Officers, Departmental units in various community engagement programs and events that encompass crime prevention, community resources, community education, law enforcement accessibility, community outreach and more.
This position will attend Austin Quality of Life Commissions. They will assist with implementing, coordinating and participating in all other OCL programs/events such as National Night Out, Pride Parade, Faith & Blue weekend, Seniors & Law Enforcement Together, Operation Blue Santa and Coffee with a Cop. The position will partner with people from different segments of the community to include African American, Asian, Hispanic, Immigrant, and LGBTQIA+. This position will work with community centers, stakeholders and places of worship. The position works in an office/warehouse space. Teamwork is essential in this position. They will need to have the ability to travel to more than one work location and work some weekends & evenings as events are scheduled.

Travel:
