The Department of African American Studies seeks a dedicated teacher-scholar with demonstrated teaching excellence. The position begins on August 15, 2024, and has a six-course teaching load (3-3). We are particularly interested in scholars who have a foundational background in African American Studies. Successful candidates will teach "Introduction to African American Studies" or "Race in Contemporary Society," along with Upper Division courses that center on the African American experience in their field of expertise.
