Job Description:
Top pay for a full-time school-based SLP in a top-rated school district in Temecula, California! The SLP will complete assessments and screenings, prepare reports based on standardized testing and clinical observations, effectively communicate the findings of their assessments with the IEP team and parents during meetings, and carry out treatment planning. The SLP will document treatment sessions by recording student performance through observation of skills and effective data collection. The SLP will also provide instruction to students and teachers on the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices.
The SLP may treat students who present with a variety of disabilities and diagnoses including children with articulation and language delays, children who present with a variety of disabilities and diagnoses including children who have been diagnosed with Autism, chromosomal abnormalities, children with hearing difficulties, and other children who struggle to find success through social communication in school. The SLP will meet either one-on-one or in small groups, in-person with elementary age students to also address delays in articulation, language expression, understanding, literacy, phonology, voice, fluency, and social pragmatics.
The SLP will collect data on measurable and attainable student goals. He or she will facilitate students in meeting them by using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques that are chosen to keep students' interest and to facilitate meaningful communication in both social and academic settings.
