We are a highly-rated, client-centered dual diagnosis Substance Use Disorder (SUD) primary program located in Mt. Washington, Kentucky. Our facility is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support to individuals dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Dual Certified Nurse Practitioner in Psych, and Family to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our clients within our SUD primary program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical and mental health status.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Provide medication management and prescribe medications as appropriate for the treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment process and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate clients and their families on medication regimens, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and counselors, to ensure coordinated and integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Kentucky.
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is preferred.
- Experience working in the field of substance use disorders and/or mental health preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
